I’ve spent some very happy times in Bridlington. 20 years ago we used to set off early and be there for breakfast at the Marina café (scrambled eggs on toast as I recall).

The harbor was always an interesting place and I must have taken hundreds of photographs. The other day a friend and I were talking about subject matter and boats came up. I haven’t painted boats for about 18 years, but I remembered taken lots of photographs. So I got out all my old files and this painting is taken from one of the photos I took all those years ago.
