I think it’s the vibrancy of the colours and the shapes that attracts me to paint flowers. I’m not a botanical artist (I don’t even know the name of the flowers I paint).

They appear, the light plays with them and I try to capture the whole thing. Some of the paintings remind me of other things, the poppies below for example, there something very 1950’s about it for me. I know, I’m a little crazy.

Anyway not wanting to delve to deep into my motives, I paint flowers and that’s it.
